Ball Ball Waffle

Owner Aldous Lau says that egg waffles (also known as bubble waffles) are one of the most popular street foods in Hong Kong, his hometown. Around since the 1950s, the trend has slowly been spreading across the globe, where the picturesque, honeycomb-shaped snacks are consumed throughout the day. Up until now, Cleveland has been surprisingly lacking in the treats. After noticing that dearth, Lau and his wife Alice opened Ball Ball Waffle inside Asia Plaza. Both sweet and savory options are available, with some coming naked while others feature cheese, chocolate or matcha and mochi.

There are so many great restaurants in Asia Town that this place tends to get overlooked. Hidden in the same shopping plaza that houses the popular Li Wah, Szechuan Cafe has great authentic dishes like ma po tofu and three pepper chicken.

Located in the Asian Plaza a three-floor complex of professional offices, gift shops, herb stores, and Asian food markets Li Wah offers an assortment of traditional dim sum as well as a large menu of fresh seafood and authentic Hong Kong-style cuisine. If youre going for their delicious dim sum, go on a Sunday afternoon, when the variety of dishes being pushed around on carts is at its maximum.

Pearl of the Orient has been a staple in Chinese cuisine in Cleveland for years. Unfortunately, their west side location recently closed, and although the east side location changed names, theyre still doing what they do best. A large menu of reliably well-prepared Asian standards has made Pearl of the Orient one of the area's most popular and enduring Chinese restaurants.

When it comes to authentic Chinese food, this is the place in Cleveland. Located next to the Asian grocery store Tink Holl Enterprises, the best Chinese restaurant in town, bar none, boasts dishes that are out of this world. Try the three pepper chicken for some spice, the mapo tofu with pork, the cumin beef, the chili cucumber, and youll leave with a belly full and a smile on your face for how delicious this food really is.
