I’m a first time hockey player. Monkey Sports had everything I needed at every price point (I needed everything). Eli helped me choose ALL my equipment and spent almost 2 hours with me doing so. He was so kind and I never felt rushed! Also the 3D fitting for skates is amazing- didn’t think they could fit so well and be so comfortable! Will definitely return here in the future.

My kiddo has been playing lacrosse for several years, we go to Monkey Sports for gear numerous times a season. The staff there is always helpful, and knowledgeable. If they don't have what we need in stock they'll take care of ordering it online for us. They're definitely a one stop shop for everything we need for lacrosse gear.

Always my first stop when I need to get new lacrosse equipment or supplies. Khalid who helped me the last time I was in the store, is very knowledgeable when it comes to the game of lacrosse and has great recommendations when deciding between products. Would highly recommend this store and great staff for your lacrosse equipment needs!

Been here multiple times over the years to outfit my son with lacrosse equipment. Whether it is cleats, shafts, heads, gloves or arm guards, I always feel we get the best advice and service, so I always go back. Anytime someone asks where to get lacrosse gear, I send them to Monkey Sports. Plus they string heads and do a great job with that as well.

Go to Pure hockey instead. Got fitted for skates incorrectly and now I'm stuck with them. Even though they're brand new, never worn, because they've been sharpened hockey monkey won't take them back. Which is ridiculous considering that Bauer skates don't even come with steel.Giving two stars because the selection was good at least. I'd recommend going to HM to try on, then ordering/buying from Pure since they have the better return policy.

This is our preferred hockey store in the area. We live pretty close by and feel lucky to have the convenience and quality of their products. We’ve been coming to this location for over three years, we now have a kiddo on a 10U travel team. We use skate sharpening, (they have a skate sharpening card), they’ve given us endless advice and recommendations on equipment and skatesharpening, and other things related to a hockey season. What I’ve always really appreciated is the fact that when we walk in, there’s always somebody who is genuinely interested in helping us or getting us to the right area, even when I know there’s other customers in the store. I think their pricing is pretty good, I’m one of those comparison shoppers on the other hockey websites and Amazon for anything over $50 or when buying those stupid expensive socks. They seem to be well stocked, unless you need some pink laces deeper into October lol.

The management and expertise at this location is top notch. We live in New Mexico and get our equipment here when we visit Denver on occasion. We had a hockey bag break during the warranty period, and Tim Horsch helped us out and helped us get the warranty going from New Mexico. Top notch service. We will forever get our hockey gear here due to the customer service. The prices and selections are great too.

Walked in today (Wed.), to buy new hockey skates a bit after 11:45 am as the only customer in the store. I received no attention upon entering, from at least 4 employees near the entry door, so I found hockey skates and looked at the pretty good selection for 12 minutes. I stopped counting employees at 8 with almost all of them standing behind counters talking to other employees. After checking the robust selection, I walked out - again without notice or attention from a single employee. I went elsewhere and purchased skates. Since the employee's responsibility in retail is to recognize when customers are in the store and try to accomodate purchases, they failed completely. I gave 2 stars because the store seemed well-stocked. Hopefully corporate reads reviews.I owned retail stores for 20 years and the employees in this store are either not being trained how to take care of customers - or they're simply not doing their job. Most of the criticisms I've read herein are almost exactly what I experienced, and yet nothing has changed. Any time I had a complaint about customer service, I checked the store video surveillance to see if the complaint had any merit. The management of this store should try it sometime and apply corrective training to their employees. Unless, of course, they just don't care.

My son and I are new to hockey and really loving it! I came to the store for the first time on Saturday and was helped by a wonderful kid named Pearce! He was knowledgeable and very sweet! He helped us picking out a new stick. We had an all day tournament today and the coaches wanted my son to stand up more straight with his stick and wanted him to try a bigger one. So we traveled back down to the store and I explained to Tim. Not only was he amazing, accommodating him and Colt made sure we left with another stick. The staff at this location are fantastic and definitely know what they are talking about. I appreciate the guidance and encouragement they showed us! These guys and location is the place to go!

Super helpful staff. I came in yesterday for lacrosse balls and targets. I was helped by Tim who was very knowledgeable. Although they did not have the targets in stock, he ordered them for me and should be delivered in a couple of days. Very pleased with the service!

My son plays high-school Lacrosse and has needed his stick restrung twice this past year. I've brought it into Monkey Sports both times and I have to say I will never go anywhere else! EVERY single employee that I have encountered while there havebeen nothing but sweet, nice and helpful! ALL of them know their stuff and are eager to help. Not to mention they are quite efficient and timely in their work. They all need raises!

This area is getting super sketchy. Homeless people all around--no longer feel safe going to this store. Homeless people have set up camp all around the closed Arby's next door, and the businesses and police do absolutely nothing. This isn't Denver--it's Greenwood Village, and we live down here for a reason--and it ain't putting up with homeless people

Amazing customer service! The moment we walked in Shane immediately welcomed us and asked us how he could help. We were looking for batting gloves and he was very knowledgeable about the products. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place for our athletes!

Most of the staff is extremely helpful and kind, pleasant to talk to.HOWEVEREmployee running the skate sharpening desk was extremely rude responding in a very condescending way to simple questions. Friendly staff, knowledgeable and approachable. The folks sharpening the skates know what they're doing. No Sparx BS here. Lots of gear to choose from for hockey and lacrosse. Not a lot of apparel or ref gear. Great selection of sticks, skates, helmets, goalie equipment, gloves, pants, and accessories.

Without a doubt the worst hockey shop I've ever been to. Unhelpful employees who just huddle by the counter messing around. Mediocre selection. No communication. Mediocre service once you are able to get an employee to help you out. Hardly a "superstore".

Wonderful experience in light of crummy circ*mstances. Had my daughter’s hockey gear stolen from my vehicle in the parking lot of a hotel we were at for a tournament this past weekend. Found these folks via google after Dick’s inventory was wholly underwhelming. The associate that helped us (Colton, I believe) was incredibly helpful and informative throughout the process of getting her outfitted in replacement gear. He also surprised us with being able to have our total expense be hundreds of dollars less than we’d anticipated. Wonderful selection, and even better customer service-thank you!!

I bought a new pair of skates with the help of Caleb, the price was good and the service was great.He was super patient with me trying on skates and making sure I went home with the ones with a good fit.Well worth the 1hr 45min drive in! I’ll be happy to make that drive again next time I need gear

This was a great experience. My son is doing club (inline skate) hockey for the first time, and I know nothing about the equipment. Brennan stepped up and helped us immensely. Engaged my son with what he wanted for equipment, worked with me on costs, and gave us a bunch of great advice. Huge selection and knowledgeable staff. Awesome place!

Had a great experience picking up skates and some protective gear from the shop. The store has a great selection and Caleb was extremely helpful and attentive. I’m an adult beginner so I had a lot of questions and he was more than willing to spend the time with me to make sure I was getting all that I needed.

We’ve been shopping here for years, mainly for my hockey playing son. The guys are always great. They know their sports and their gear and are always so helpful and understanding. We just stopped in last week after taking up a new sport, lacrosse. No surprise, same great service and knowledgeable staff! So thankful for this place and it’s all due to the amazing employees . Staff is great. Prices are great. Military/veterans discount available. The only nit that I have is that I bought new skates and the pro shop did not sharpen them like they were new blades. Got on the ice the first time and about killed myself because they were still flat blades. Had them sharpened at the rink and the pro asked why they were not sharpened correctly.

Pretty decent trip to this store. I needed new skates and the kid helping me seemed to mostly know his stuff. It was better than what I knew so very helpful. Ended up getting new skates with his help. Really happy with my purchase. My only complaint is that I feel from the time they finished baking my skates to the time I got them back from sharpening was pretty slow. Looks like they got put in a que . That would be fine if I was behind other people in the store but I was the only person there so I think it would have been nice to have mine given some priority.Still not a bad place to get all sorts of equipment. I've ordered from them online for years.

Within all of our MonkeySports locations, we have the latest skate fitting technology from our major brands. 3D skate fitting and foot scanning is valuable to our customers in which they can figure out which stock skate works best for their specific needs and even make recommendations and showcase how skates would fit on the feet if they are smaller or larger. This scanner will pick up every small detail of the foot and the technology of the skate recommender works great!There are different versions that can be done where the customer is either standing or sitting and the scanner is either moved around their feet or captured while standing in the scanner itself. Customers can also get these foot scans done to figure out which custom skate would work best for their individual needs to make sure when they are on the ice, they are skating to their best potential.
Skate Sharpening & Repair
For all hockey players, it is essential to get your blades sharpened and our MonkeySports location can take care of your skates to keep you on the ice. We use the best products available to sharpen, repair, swap holders, replace rivets and provide maintenance needed for our customers. Specifically in Roller Hockey markets, our stores will also handle swapping holders and can convert your ice skates with a chassis to house roller wheels.
On top of this skate service, most locations can provide sewing and maintenance to player gloves, goalie gear, lacrosse heads or baseball gloves.
