On an episode of her BlahBlahBlah podcast, Sackhoff spoke about her experience on the series with fellow Star Wars alum Sam Witwer. During the conversation, Sackhoff revealed how she could not wear her character’s signature helmet because of a misconfiguration.

We’re like what are we going to do we need this shot and Dave literally goes somebody made a helmet, a fan, it’s up in my office,

Sackhoff made the above statement, explaining how the scene was filmed using a fan-made helmet after the original one could not fit her head because of the wig she wore. She added:

We literally used it in the shot.

Sackhoff revealed that the helmet was gifted to Dave Filoni’s wife by a fan and ended up fitting her. The actress added that the final look was achieved with the help of some CGI.
